Hives on the face in children
If you're here, it's because your little one has already started having an outbreak of hives on his face. Perhaps this is a common way of calling them, but it could be an infection or perhaps an allergic reaction.
Children are very prone to getting sick, by having contact with everything around them they can be victims of some infection, not necessarily risky, but very uncomfortable for their daily walk.
It is important that as soon as you notice the change, you assess the development of the hives. Many times it can be skin contact with infectious agents, some food consumed or a reaction to some medication.
Other symptoms besides hives on the face
Evaluate if the little one is having other symptoms, it can be fever or pain, since we well know hives only cause itching.
If you have any separate symptoms, medical studies and pediatric consultation will be necessary.
At the moment the evaluation can be done in a period of 3 days to 1 week, so you will know that no other symptom will appear even after the consultation.
How to relieve itching?
In general terms, itching occurs when the welts take a lot of exposure to the sun or dirt, that is, at that time you must keep the little one without leaving the house.
Baths should be refreshing and you can apply creams that do not require a prescription.
What can I do to relieve itchy hives?
Moisturizing creams 2 times a day in the affected areas.
Put on soft and loose clothing that does not rub against some hives (there are hives that can appear on other parts of the body besides the face)
Compresses of cold water in the affected areas.
Baths can be lukewarm.
If the discomfort of the little one is very strong, you should go to your usual doctor to determine other types of treatments. Remember that many times it can be lechina or other diseases.
