  • Two cups of wheat flour.

  • A cup of polenta.

  • Two tablespoons of salt.

  • Two tablespoons of oil.

  • Two tablespoons of paprika.

  • A cup of warm water.

Steps for its preparation:

  1. In a bowl, pour the wheat flour, followed by the polenta and proceed to mix until integrated.

  2. Add the paprika powder and continue mixing. Next, add the salt and proceed to integrate completely.

  3. Pour two tablespoons of oil and a cup of warm water into the bowl. The ideal is to add the warm water little by little while you begin to integrate until you form a compact mass. To do this, you can use a palette or your hands, as you like. If the dough is very dry, you can use more water.

  4. Transfer the dough to a clean and previously floured surface to knead a little more before starting to stretch.

  5. Stretch the dough with the help of a rolling pin until it is very thin.

  6. Once the dough is the thickness you want, cut the dough with a pizza cutter or cookie cutter, but in a triangular shape.

  7. Transfer the cut triangles to a plate or tray and reserve while you continue cutting the dough until you finish all the dough.

  8. Place a deep skillet on the stove and turn on the flame over medium high heat. Pour enough oil into the pan and wait until it is hot.

  9. Once the oil is hot, add the Doritos. You can add them all together if you like, but it's best to do it in small batches to prevent them from sticking together. Let them fry for a few minutes until golden brown.

  • 140 grams or a cup of wheat flour.

  • 160 grams or a cup of breadcrumbs.

  • A cup of milk.

  • A big egg.

  • A tablespoon of salt.

  • A tablespoon of ground pepper.

  • A tablespoon of baking powder.

  • Half tablespoon of sweet paprika.

Steps for its preparation:

  1. Peel the onion and cut it into slices of about half a centimeter. It's best to discard both ends of the onion.

  2. Separate the onion into rings and discard the outer layers and the center of the onion.

  3. Once you have all the rings, prepare a bowl with ice water and salt and put the rings there. This will remove the strong flavor of the onion rings. Let the onion rings sit there while you continue with the recipe.

  4. In a separate container pour the flour, yeast, salt, ground pepper and sweet paprika. Then proceed to mix everything very well.

  5. Once the mixture is ready, remove the onion rings from the bowl of ice water and place them on a piece of paper and let them sit there to absorb the water.

  6. Take each of the onion rings and pass them through the flour mixture until they are completely impregnated. Then remove the excess and place them on a plate.

  7. Once you have all the rings floured, in a separate container pour an egg and milk. Mix this very well and add the flour mixture. Beat until fully integrated. Also, pour the breadcrumbs into another bowl to have your battering station ready.

  8. Place a pan on the stove over medium heat and pour enough oil into it. Wait until the oil is hot enough to start frying.

  9. Pass each of the onion rings through the mixture of wheat flour with egg and milk, remove the excess and pass them through breadcrumbs, and then take them to the pan. Repeat this process until you finish all the rings.

  10. Let the onion rings fry until completely golden. Once ready on one side, turn them over.

  11. After they are golden on both sides, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate with absorbent paper.

  12. Finally, enjoy with the sauce or dip of your choice.

Ingredients:

  • 180 grams of wheat flour.

  • A cup of water. (The volume of water and flour must be equal)

  • Two tablespoons of butter.

  • Half a tablespoon of salt.

  • Enough oil to fry.

  • Enough sugar to soak the churros.

Steps for the elaboration:

  1. Put the water in a saucepan and let it heat up on the stove. To this, add the salt and butter.

  2. Once the water starts to boil, add the flour and start mixing until you get a homogeneous mass, but without turning off the stove fire.

  3. Once you have the dough ready and you have cleaned the edges with the same dough, turn off the heat of the stove and continue mixing until there are no lumps of flour.

  4. After the dough is warm, transfer it to a pastry bag with a star tip.

  5. Start making the churros on a plate or cutting board. To do this, make straight lines of about 10 to 14 centimeters with the pastry bag and once ready, reserve for the moment of frying.

  6. Place a pan on the stove over medium heat and add enough oil to fry.

  7. When the oil in the pan is hot, add the churros, being very careful not to break them, and let them cook until golden brown.

  8. After the churros are golden brown, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with absorbent paper, letting them rest until cool.

  9. Place enough sugar on a plate and pass each of the churros through this plate to soak them.

  10. Finally, serve with arequipe or melted chocolate and enjoy.
