During his military service, TOP was sentenced to 10 months in jail for illegal drug possession while doing his social work in the military enlistment. Despite this, he was only given a 2-year suspension sentence.

Today, TOP was greeted by thousands of fans as he got ready to wrap up his last day as a military service social worker at the Yongsan Handicraft Museum. His last day ended at 7 PM KST or South Korean time.

The BIGBANG member hosted a brief meet-and-greet with his fans earlier today, where he was seen wearing a black suit with a changed countenance. TOP set out to greet each of the fans who were present at the event.

Fans of this famous BIGBANG member have expressed their love and appreciation towards the artist on all social media. In this way, hours before TOP's return, the hashtag #LongTimeNoSeeTOP became a trend on Twitter.

BIGBANG member TOP enlisted for military service in February 2017 where he initially served as a police conscript. Still, because of his drug scandal, he had to stop their work in June of the same year. By early 2018, he resumed his mandatory military service jobs.

TOP is the first BIGBANG member to complete his mandatory military service. G-Dragon, Daesung and Taeyang would be finishing it this year, which is why there have been many rumors about the group's return for 2020.
