The president of Mexico and Chapo Guzmán finally coincide
Joaquín Guzmán Loera, better known as El Chapo Guzmán, was one of the most wanted drug traffickers in Mexico and the United States. He escaped a few times when he was arrested except the last one that led to his extradition to the United States where a shirt of his was hung as a trophy at the DEA facilities by one of the DEA agents.
El Chapo Guzmán was sentenced a couple of weeks ago to life imprisonment, several photographs even came to light of what would be Chapo Guzmán's new cell. The same as it would have a small window where light would barely enter it. This former drug trafficker, through his lawyers, affirmed that his human rights were being blown away because he was being treated badly. Given that, opinions were divided for some it was the least he deserved and for others perhaps Chapo Guzmán was not so bad.
El Chapo Guzmán and AMLO agree
After the life sentence was dictated for Chapo Guzmán, his lawyers are looking for a way for everything that was confiscated from Chapo Guzmán to be repatriated to Mexico so that it will go to indigenous communities as it was rumored to do when he was free. Faced with these statements, the President of the United Mexican States Andrés Manuel López Obrador was extremely happy to agree emphatically with the former drug trafficker.
He also affirmed that a process has already been initiated so that the United States does not keep the money or property seized from Mexican criminals. The president of Mexico said that the plan is for all this to be returned to the Mexicans. Although he assures that what has been said about Chapo Guzmán about money has not been confirmed, he says that he is happy with the idea, and it is an idea that he undoubtedly likes.
