Xiaomi seeks a solution to the biggest problem of its devices
Xiaomi equipment is quite good, it has long since become one of the most popular brands. Equipment with good features at fairly low prices, in this way, Xiaomi has won over users.
However, not everything is rosy and these teams have a pretty big problem. Despite having very good features and hardware that may seem loose, these teams have a problem and that is their software.
MIUI is quite a nice and practical customization layer, however, it is also quite heavy. This is a big deal as even mid-range rigs can fall short.
Those responsible for the company know this and that is why they are looking for a solution to the problem. Of course, without neglecting the essence of the brand.
A light version of MIUI?
According to what has been known in an interview, Kevin Qiu (General Director of OPPO) and Angus Kai (Head of Marketing) recognized the problem. They even assured that the company is evaluating different options to improve the system.
They assured that the possibility of creating a "light" version of MIUI that can work more smoothly on low and medium-end equipment is being considered. In this way, the company will be able to compete more easily in these ranges.
strong competitors
Even though a few years ago Xiaomi became the favorite of many, today it has great competitors. Companies like Realme, Tecno, and others find themselves competing fiercely in the low and mid-range.
That is why Xiaomi is looking for ways to further improve its equipment and this software problem is quite serious. The performance of Xiaomi equipment is lagging compared to its competitors. And both the company and the users have realized it.
When could we start to see improvements?
Even though the company has admitted the problems and has said that it is working on a solution, the truth is that it will not arrive in the short term.
The development of a new operating system can take months, so don't expect to see a new system on your computer soon. Most likely, if they choose this option, it will not be until 2023 that we will see the light version of MIUI.
