Gatherers arrives, a cooperative shooter for Android

Developer Fun Monkey has announced that its cooperative action RPG Gatherers has officially launched for Android following a limited release in select regions.

Gatherers brings a cartoonish atmosphere to a sci-fi setting and will allow you to explore new planets with up to two players and fight against the minions of “The Rot”, the game's main antagonist.

What's Gatherers like?

Gatherers is very similar to other third - person shooters, and in particular is inspired by the popular roguelike shooter for consoles and PC Risk of Rain 2.

This means that you can expect a fast-paced shooter that is also based on the character of your choice, as each one has a different set of abilities that decide the role you will play among your co-op partners.

Unfortunately, at least at launch, there are only three characters available. It is expected that in the next updates the game can find a greater number of characters that allow you to mix and match so that you can make your own strategies.

As you explore the various planets and avoid the forces of corruption, you'll also be able to use in-game items during combat to make things easier for your team. These range from items like grenades and health kits to airstrikes and ammo replenishment supplies.

With all these features and an art style that is simply unique and makes it stand out from the crowd, Gatherers is sure to become your go-to co-op game for a quick session of shooting bad aliens.
