Sevilla only gets one point at El Sadar
This Saturday, Sevilla visited Osasuna in El Sadar, to try to get one point behind Real Madrid, who are the leaders in the standings, however, they ran into a wall in the goal that, in addition, saved a penalty in the added.
The meeting responded to a commitment on matchday 23 of LaLiga, where the locals showed that their field is always a difficult stadium to visit.
From the beginning, the team from Arrasate ceded control of the ball to a Sevilla that lacked depth and clear chances to score, however, the clearest of the first half was for the locals thanks to a shot by Moncayola that Bounou saved.
Lopetegui's team had few chances. En-Nesyri was one of the most influential players, but he couldn't beat the Osasuna goalkeeper. But towards the end, Sevilla cornered the locals, throwing many balls into the opponent's area and in one of those, Manu Sánchez knocked down Koundé in the area. The referee would indicate the maximum penalty.
Rakitic was in charge of taking the spot kick from eleven steps, so he did and Sergio Herrera, not only stopped the penalty, but also the rebound that 'Papu' tried to send to the back of the net. Thus the match ended in a goalless draw.
With this result, Sevilla misses the opportunity to be one point behind the 'merengues', they are still second with 47 points, while Osasuna is in 12th position with 29 units.
