Young man spends 35 million dollars on cosmetic surgeries
Social networks are currently responsible for showing an image of perfection that leads people to become obsessed with their physical appearance.
Dale Saint Cullen is a 28-year-old Englishman. Her last five years were spent searching for an ' ideal beauty '. In this process, he decided to get plastic surgery and spent 35 thousand dollars, just to look ' perfect '.
In an interview with The Mirror newspaper, it is shown that social networks were responsible for brainwashing him and caused him to pursue this current false reality.
After this, the young Englishman lives to create awareness among Internet users of the impact generated by social networks on the self-esteem of each person.
The beginning of the process
Cullen says that he started wanting to have a nose job, nothing else. However, finding it similar to a slippery slope, he decided to improve it.
The second choice was the chin operation. It was followed by improving her teeth, wanting bigger lips and a sharp jawline. Little by little, his demands increased.
The young man admitted that, it seemed that more and more trends were coming out and he realized that he could not keep up with these developments.
Now he details that he is in favor of the trend, as long as he does not have to change his entire face.
Despite all this, he does not regret having performed all these operations on his face. He only regrets the reasons why he made the decision. Regardless of this, he reported that a new surgery will be performed in June.
The reach of networks in real life
Dale said in his interview that he always looked at people who looked perfect on social networks and that's how he fell into a vicious circle of looking for something that was not real, something that was completely false.
With images on his cell phone of the 'perfect' look, he traveled to Poland and Turkey, where he underwent cosmetic surgeries.
The English accepted that, it took time for him to realize that in real life, nobody looks like that. He added that now he knows he will never get the look he wanted.
For this reason, he decided to invite people to begin to accept themselves inside and out, as they are, so that they avoid falling into the trap that he fell into.
Now, he's working on encouraging people to get surgery for the right reasons and not just because of stereotypes. He pointed out in his statements that he spent a lot of money, energy and time, looking for a supposedly perfect appearance.
To cope with the situation, Dale Saint Cullen attends therapy to understand that the decisions he makes are for his well-being. He concluded the interview detailing that what he did was not for him, he did it because I feel pressure from social networks.
Now, he feels that he is in a better place and he is sure that what he will do will be for him.
For many years, people often have a concept of ideal beauty. Gradually the style and fashions have changed. These have been imposed with force and therefore, seek to be imitated.
Social networks have been in charge of setting trends of what it really is to be beautiful, since the first two generations of the 21st century.
Thus, people have decided to put their health at risk to have a certain physical appearance, within the standard of 'perfection'.
In this search, many have been convicted of this, falling into addiction to plastic surgery or eating disorders.
