A woman in the US lost her eye giving birth to her baby
A young mother recounted in a video her experience during her first vaginal delivery, where due to complications, her left eye came out of its place.
Bethany Collins, 23, from Indiana, United States, experienced a delicate and terrifying case, at the birth of her firstborn Phoebe Belle. And she decided to share her story on her TikTok account, where she detailed her entire experience as a new mother, with the aim of letting off steam and also motivating other women who are going through something similar.
On the day of delivery, Collins began with the normal tasks in these cases, but as time went by, the situation became more complicated. Due to the great effort he made to bring his little daughter back to life, something "out of the ordinary" happened, his doctor said.
According to the young mother, during labor she heard a loud noise, similar to a pop. Then he asked the doctor if he still had the eyeball in place, since he felt something strange in that area.
"I opened my eyes and everything was blurry. I felt a lot of pressure in my left eye, but I pushed again a third time and the girl was born," said the young mother.
After delivery, the doctor informed her that due to the force she used at the time of delivery, her eye had gone out of place, therefore, he recommended that she rest and be strict with postpartum care, since her eye was very swollen and would return to its place in several weeks, but only if you remain calm and relaxed at home.
Bethany noted that it took six weeks for the eye to return to its natural state, and she thought many times that this would never happen. "Now things are going well, as I have a beautiful two-month-old daughter and my two normal eyes," he added.
There are many anecdotes related to motherhood and childbirth, since although we can all go through or experience similar situations, each one has its own unique and particular touch.
At the time of bringing a baby to life there are many myths and truths that reassure some women, but scare others, the important thing is not to get carried away by that and live your experience, knowing that not all cases are the same.
Some are very nice and others not so much, as is the case of this young woman, who experienced a traumatic event in her first childbirth.
