Meghan Markle launches a fashion line with a charitable purpose
Meghan Markle is trying to enter the world of fashion design for a charitable cause. The Duchess of Sussex has stated via the September issue of British Vogue, that she has been secretly designing a fashion collaboration that will benefit her royal sponsorship, Smart Works, as mentioned by E! News.
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, mentions that the project is to deliver special suits and dresses for women looking for work or showing up for important interviews. This, with the intention that they present themselves to their opportunities with the best presentation and confidence.
Meghan Markle seeks to join forces with British fashion brands Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners and Jigsaw, as well as designer Misha Nonoo, to achieve the goal.
"When you walk into a Smart Works space, you come across racks of clothing and a wide variety of bags and shoes, yet sometimes it can be a medley of mismatched sizes and colors, not always the right stylistic choices or the right choice range of sizes. To help with this, I asked Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners, Jigsaw and my friend, designer Misha Nonoo, if they would be willing to design a capsule collection of more classic options for a workwear wardrobe" Explained the Duchess of Sussex.
However, she went on to explain her purpose:
"Taking the idea further, many of the brands agreed to use the model one by one: for every item purchased by a customer, one is donated to the charity. This not only allows us to be part of the other's story, but also reminds us that we are together in it "
The fashion line will be launched in the coming months and I assure that Daily Mail will report more details in the fall.
