Roland Garros Stadium in Paris will feature Djokovic
Djokovic will attend the Roland Garros tournament, scheduled between the end of May and the beginning of June in Paris
Roxana Maracineanu, French Minister of Sports, declared that Djokovic will have the opportunity to attend the dispute, since the health bubble of these sporting events will accept it.
Maracineanu, insisted in an interview with the radio station France, that the rules of Australia are not the same as in France, when entering the country, regardless of being a common citizen or a famous athlete.
When entering France from a European country, a vaccination certificate is required as a requirement that shows that you comply with the required doses of the vaccine, that they have overcome the contagion of the Coronavirus with less than six months previously or present a negative test.
Maracineanu reported that a bill is being processed in the French Parliament, which should have been implemented since the middle of the month.
This law indicates that the vaccination card must be presented in order to enter the sports facilities. At the moment, all they ask for is a negative test.
This vaccination commitment will be put into operation in society in general, but also to athletes who train in France, those who are domiciled in the country or who participate in French public competitions.
This measure will be implemented regardless of your nationality.
The minister stressed that, in international competitions, there are federal protocols that are mandatory, which will allow the participation of athletes who are not vaccinated, as in the case of tennis player Djokovic.
On Monday there will be a meeting of the interministerial crisis committee, in which a series of examinations will be carried out, to decide how things will be carried out in the coming days.
The case of the contestant athletes, who do not have vaccines, come from abroad and who, right now, are isolated will also be studied.
