Learn how to prepare a delicious fried milk
Did you know that you can fry milk? Yes indeed, fried milk is one of the most delicious desserts that kids love for its crunchy texture and creamy filling.
If you do not know it and do not know how it is made, then we will explain how to make it in a simple way.
Fried milk ingredients
500 milliliters of milk.
60 to 80 grams (4 to 5 tablespoons) of flour.
75 grams (3 tablespoons) of sugar.
2 yolks.
1 cinnamon stick
The skin of 1 lemon.
To batter

Eggs.
Flour.
Sugar.
Cinnamon.
Steps for making fried milk
Preparation of the milk dough
In a saucepan add the sugar.
Add the lemon peel and the cinnamon stick. It is important that the lemon peel does not have the white part because it is bitter.
Add 350 milliliters of milk. The remaining 150 milliliters reserve to mix with the flour.
Place the milk on the fire and bring it to the boil. As soon as it starts to boil, stir and remove it from the heat.
Leave the milk covered for 10 to 15 minutes.
In a separate container add the flour, salt and stir.
Add the yolks and a little milk. Stir very well and when you stop seeing the lumps, add the remaining milk.
Remove the cinnamon and lemon peel from the milk. Add the flour mixture and stir very well.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and let the cream cook until it thickens. You must stir it all the time, without stopping, to prevent it from sticking to the casserole. To stir it is recommended to use the spatula.
When your cream has a good thickness, remove it from the heat. This may take approximately 10 minutes.
Cream hardening
Take a rectangular container or of your choice as a mold and spread it with butter. Also, line it with cling film.
Pour the cream inside and cover it with plastic wrap, so that a crust does not form on top.
Let it cool for 30 minutes.
Store the cream in the fridge, so that it cools completely and hardens. You can keep this for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours. But if you can, leave it there overnight.
Cut the pieces of milk
Sprinkle a board or bowl with flour.
Pour the cream on top and remove the plastic that you had placed in the mold.
Also sprinkle the hardened cream with flour.
Cut the hardened cream into small pieces.
Take a piece and pass it through flour.
Frying the pieces of milk
In a skillet or saucepan, heat the oil. You can use olive oil like sunflower oil, whatever you have at home.
To find out if the oil is ready to fry, you can do this test: Take a wooden toothpick and dip it in oil. If you see bubbles and foam appear around the toothpick, then the oil is ready to fry.
Crack the eggs. Add 1 pinch of salt and beat them.
Pass the pieces of milk through the egg. It is recommended that before putting them in the egg you shake off the excess flour.
Fry the pieces until you notice that they acquire a nice golden color. Once they have obtained the desired color, remove the pieces from the pan.
Place the pieces of fried milk on a plate covered with kitchen paper, so that it absorbs the oil.
Finishing touches of the fried milk chunks
With half a liter of milk you can get 12 beautiful pieces of fried milk.
While they are still hot, coat the pieces in sugar mixed with cinnamon. The mixture can be done simply by measuring half-and-half the quantities.
Take a piece of fried milk and dip it in sugar and cinnamon.
Put them on a plate and enjoy.
Recipe variations
With this recipe you can add your personal touch, as this is not a unique recipe.
If you want the fried milk to be creamier, you can add cornstarch instead of flour to harden the mixture, but keep in mind that this will make it unwieldy, so be careful.
Try adding a little cornmeal for a distinctive flavor to fried milk.
Feel free to use a little vanilla essence to the fried milk mixture, to provide a unique touch.
If the fried milk will only be consumed by adults, you can add a touch of rum or brandy to make it more attractive to consume.
If you want the recipe to be sweeter, try using a little condensed milk in creating the mixture.
In case you're a fan of chocolate, you can use a chocolate milk mix to make this a custom dessert.

Recommendations so that fried milk is perfect for you
Preheat the pan where you are going to fry the pieces of cold milk, but when cooking, lower the heat to medium and be very aware of cooking at all times to avoid burning.
It is best to start the preparation in the afternoon and leave the mixture in the refrigerator to harden overnight. In this way, you can cook the next day and the mixture will be perfect.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon in this proportion: 70% sugar and 30% cinnamon, so that the breading is perfect.
Be careful when breading the pieces of fried milk, as ideally they should not be so overflowing.
It is better not to consume them hot, but warm and accompanied by a drink chocolaty in the afternoons as a snack.
