Will the Samsung Galaxy S22 arrive without Exynos processors?
For some years now, Samsung has opted for its Exynos processors, which had been well-received by fans of the brand.
Although not all computers have these processors, a large part of them do, mainly the computers that are marketed in the Middle East, Europe and some Asian countries. While the rest usually carry Qualcomm processors.
But this seems to be about to change, since according to what has been known, the company is about to dispense with these processors and launch a single version with Qualcomm processors. And it is that the company would bet on the brand's new Snapdragon 8.
The entire S22 line would incorporate Qualcomm processors
As SamMobile has learned, all members of the S22 family, including the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22 Plus and the Galaxy S22 Ultra would come from the hand of Qualcomm processors.
This time only a single version will be available, and we would say goodbye to Samsung's Exynos processors.
This is just a rumor at the moment, but considering that the launch of this device is just around the corner, it could be true.
These models would be the first since the birth of the Exynos that would not have these processors. In any case, until the launch of this device is made official, nothing is certain.
What is the motive behind this decision?
The reasons are unknown, however, remember that Exynos processors used to have lower performance compared to Qualcomm. However, the company with the Exynos 2200 redeemed itself and with the help of AMD they developed a really powerful processor.
After this success, it was to be expected that we would see these processors more frequently. Unfortunately this could not be the case and the possible reason is due to the scarcity of semiconductors. However, everything is assumptions until the company does not make it official.
In any case, we hope that if these rumors are true, we can see devices with Exynos processors again.
Is it a success to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1?
Samsung has not stopped working with Qualcomm, as we already mentioned, the equipment that was sold in China, South Korea or the United States has always had a Qualcomm processor.
So, we have that incorporating them into their new teams would not be a problem. Also, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor offers a host of benefits.
As it has been known, this would be up to 20% more powerful than its previous version. This would guarantee the new S22 better performance and greater power. But not only that, but it would also include 5G up to 10 Gbps.
It is important to note that only high-end devices have been discussed. Nothing is known about other devices, but we cannot rule out that Samsung incorporates the Exynos in other models of the brand. For example, mid-range devices or tablets.
When will these devices be available?
Until now, the announcement of these devices would take place on February 8 at an online event. So it will not be until that date that we know if it will really be available with Qualcomm processors.
