Arsenal beat Chelsea at home

Nketiah scored a brace against Chelsea.

This Wednesday the pending match for matchday 25 of the Premier League between Chelsea and Arsenal took place at Stamford Bridge. It was a duel where six goals were scored and the visitors were victorious with a final score of 2-4.

The match would start with chances for both teams. First, Arsenal tried to disturb Mendy's goal and at minute 10, a Chelsea recovery of the ball would trigger the first clear for Tuchel's men, where Lukaku entered the area and finished off a ball that went wide of the left post.

However, at 12' Arsenal would open the scoring through Nketiah. The play was caused by an error in Christensen's defense that the 22-year-old English striker took advantage of, in this way he was in a one-on-one with Mendy and crossed it with a low shot to the right post. 0-1 partial.

But the 'Blues' responded quickly, since at minute 17, Werner from the edge of the area took a shot that went between Xhaka and Holding, to slightly change the direction of the ball and thus went to the bottom of the net. Partial tie on the scoreboard.

The chances continued for both teams in the following minutes until at 26' the 'gunners' would go ahead again on the scoreboard. The play was produced by a pass from Odegaard that came from the right sector of the area and gave it to Smith-Rowe who entered from the edge of the area and shot a low shot to the right post. 1-2 partial.

But again Chelsea would quickly tie the game. At minute 31, a fortuitous play down the left wing would produce a cross from Mount to the area where captain Azpilicueta would appear to push it and thus convert the partial 2-2. Home and away game at Stamford Bridge.

Opportunities would continue for both teams, but with that score they would go to rest. Before the start of the second half, Tuchel would take out Christensen for Thiago Silva to come on.

Chelsea would take the initiative in the first minutes of the second half and as soon as it started, Werner arriving from the left of the area took a powerful left foot that ended up hitting the side of the net.

However, the 2-3 (second goal in his personal account) would be scored by Arsenal through Nketiah, due to a defensive error between Sarr and Kanté. The opportunity was not wasted by the Arsenal striker to get his team back on the scoreboard.

From that moment on, the match would become a bit fortuitous with few dangerous chances, more fouls, strong tackles and bad passes. The teams fought for control of the ball to try to impose conditions, but time was running out for the locals who lost at home.

At the end of the game, at minute 89, Arsenal reached the area with a cross from the right wing, but Azpilicueta grabbed Saka and the English player dropped. The referee did not hesitate to point out the maximum penalty and Saka himself charged from the eleven steps to convert the final 2-4 and thus sentence the game.
