Rey Juan Carlos will undergo heart surgery

King Juan Carlos, 81, will undergo heart surgery this Saturday at the Quirón de Pozuelo clinic (Madrid). The annual reviews carried out by King Juan Carlos, showed that surgery is urgent, and it was scheduled for this August 24.

Although King Juan Carlos has continued with his daily tasks, the doctors have assured that the operation should have been carried out two months ago, but has been carried out until now. Which means that the surgery is routine and does not pose a risk to your health, despite being complex due to the age of King Carlos.

However, King Juan Carlos is not the first time he has undergone surgery. So far, 15 surgeries for different reasons have been performed, but this is the first to be performed on the heart. Most of the surgeries performed are due to his constant passion for high-risk sports and some collisions with objects.

So far, the surgery of most concern in the international community has been for a benign tumor in his right lung. This operation was performed in 2010 and since then there have been no new reports of the disease, which means that it was a success.

King Juan Carlos retired since May of this year from any public activity. King Felipe VI informed his son that he no longer wanted to be in front of the public, so all the activities they carry out were passed on absolutely to his son.

From now on we only have expectations about the result of the surgery, wishing of course a speedy recovery to one of the most powerful men in Spain. It is noted that King Juan Carlos decided to perform this procedure in Spain and not travel to international clinics.
