Three thousand soldiers participate in nuclear Strategic Missile maneuvers in Russia
The maneuvers seek to improve the power of team responses to an attack, the air advance and the warning systems
This Thursday a large-scale operation began with the Strategic Missile Forces in Russia, specifically in the Orenburg region and where 3,000 soldiers and 300 combat teams will participate.
This Yasnensk missile unit is the main Russian nuclear strategic force and is designed to contain a possible aggression against the country, for which it is considered the greatest defense tool.
The Strategic Missile Forces have a high range of more than 11,000 kilometers, such is the case of the Yars arsenal, in addition to the Voyevoda, Stilet, Topol-M and the new Avangard.
These maneuvers are being carried out within the framework of Russia's war in Ukraine, since in addition to sending a message to its adversaries of its nuclear power, they are being carried out 1,500 kilometers from the border with the invaded country.
The Russian Defense Ministry explained that the purpose of the practices is to carry out a comprehensive inspection of the Orenburg missile unit and corresponds "with the Strategic Missile Forces preparation plan for 2022."
He also explained that the maneuvers seek to improve the power of team responses to an attack, the air advance and the warning systems. The combat, organization, supply and evasion work of units that have been attacked will also be reinforced, in order to provide a prompt response.
One of the details that the Avangard missiles have is that it has a hypersonic warhead whose speed can reach 27 times the speed of sound, which translates into 27 mach, which represents one of the most powerful that exists.
