Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre reach economic agreement

So far, the lawyers have not disclosed the financial terms to Judge A. Kaplan.

Prince Andrew and Virginia Roberts Giuffre

Prince Andrew, 61, and Virginia Roberts Giuffre reached a financial agreement to end the legal process, which would mean that he will not face a jury trial in a New York court for the sexual abuse claim.

Court documents note that the prince pledged to make a significant donation to the Virginia charity, which sued him for sexual assault as a minor, which was handled by sex traffickers Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.

In statements the Duke has regretted that friendship with Jeffrey. In addition, he confirmed the substantial donation to Giuffre's organization, with the aim of helping the victims of Epstein.

David Boies, Giuffre's attorney filed a document in which both parties agreed to the settlement, and within a month, they would request the lawsuit be dismissed.

Neither of the two involved can give statements to the public about the agreement reached. The Daily Telegraph reported that the total money agreed would exceed 12 million pounds.

Help from Queen Elizabeth II

Due to this demand, Queen Elizabeth II withdrew her son's military titles, in addition to charitable organizations. They also canceled his Royal Highness treatment, as in the case of resigning his official position within the royal family.

However, the queen decided to help Prince Andrew to cancel more than 12 million pounds (14 million euros), to Virginia Giuffre, after the out-of-court agreement signed by both parties.
