These big companies are responding to Russia's attack on Ukraine that began on February 23.

Multinationals leaving Russia.

The private sector has been affected by the geopolitical conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Among the various multinationals leaving Russia are finance, energy and technology companies.

More than 50 multinationals have decided to leave Russia, after the economic pressures imposed on the country.

Coca-Cola, McDonald's and Starbucks are some of the multinationals that are leaving Russia, despite the fact that they refused to close their operations in the country. Gradually the list grows longer.

Yesterday, these three companies reported that they will continue with the decision made by the other entities and leave the country as a sign of disapproval of the invasion of Ukraine.

Coca-Cola will be in constant evaluation of the situation in the course of the evolution of the facts.

The Coca Cola company notified that it remains in support of people suffering from the terrible consequences of the tragic events in Ukraine. However, they do not exactly detail their activities in the country.

The famous fast food house, McDonald's, temporarily closed 850 stores located in Russia.

In this way, their operations would be on pause, since they refuse to ignore the suffering caused to the Ukrainian territory, according to its general director Chris Kempczinski.

Despite this, the company will continue to pay its 62,000 workers and multiple suppliers. 9% of its turnover corresponds to Russia.

For its part, Starbucks reported the temporary closure of the 130 cafes belonging to the Kuwaiti conglomerate. This group has the operating license in Russia.

Kevin Johnson, the chain's CEO, issued a message indicating that he accepted the suspension of store operations immediately.

Likewise, they would be supporting the 2,000 employees whose lives depend on the multinational Starbucks.
