Hoshi's early years
His real name is Kwon Soon Young. He was born on June 15, 1996 in Namyagju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, where he and his older sister lived with their parents.
Through choreographic taekwondo he discovers dance, something that he has been passionate about from a very young age. He is artistically known as Hoshi.
He studied at Mashok Elementary, Middle and High School.
While studying in high school, he was recruited by Pledis Entertainment, after several years as an intern, he made his debut as part of the group SEVENTEEN.
The group's activities for the year 2017 had achieved a great deal of success. However, Hoshi had to be absent in the middle of that year because he was diagnosed with an inflammation of the small intestine for which he was forced to rest.
That same year it was announced that he had been accepted into the "Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts".

They began to become known in 2013 with SEVENTEEN TV, Hoshi and his groupmates debuted at the end. of the series in 2015 with their first EP 17 Carat.
After this, Hoshi along with his group saw their popularity grow dramatically.
This allowed them to release their first album known as Love & Letter in 2016. He serves in the group as the leader of the dance unit where he is also a vocalist and a dancer.
In 2017, due to a health problem, he had to rest and it was not until his return in 2018 that he had the opportunity to show his skills again, by forming part of the special unit called BooSeokSoon (BSS).
This subunit made its debut in mid-March with the song Just Do It. It is made up of Hoshi, Dk, and Seungkwan. Thus began his return to the stage despite suffering a shoulder injury that same year.
