6 dead leave accident caused by drunk teenager
The accident occurred in Palm Beach County, South Florida, USA.
A 16-year-old teenager, due to the effects of excessive alcohol, caused a traffic accident in Florida. Local media reported that six people died on the spot.
The young man was driving his car at high speed and collided with a van carrying six passengers, in the city of Delray Beach.
The truck flipped several times and ended up on the central shoulder of the road. The car where the teenager was driving turned until it was on the outside sidewalk.
Five of the six people who were in the crashed van, died with the impact of the blow, the sixth victim was declared deceased, shortly after arriving at a nearby hospital. The young man only suffered minor injuries.
In the statements of the police officers, it can be seen that the deceased were not wearing seat belts at the time the accident occurred. So far, the identities of these people have not been revealed.
This event occurs after a 17-year-old was arrested for driving a stolen truck and causing a collision with a vehicle with two occupants. The incident happened after he ignored a "stop" sign at an intersection in the Little Havana neighborhood of the city.
As a result of this incident, Mayra Sánchez, 63, passed away. His companion, Dania Montero, was admitted to the local hospital in critical condition.
