North Korea tested hypersonic missile
Kim Jong, the Korean leader, was in charge of inspecting successful launch of a hypersonic rocket
The Central News Agency in Korea (Korean Central News Agency KCNA), was responsible for publishing that the rocket was carrying a hypersonic warhead managed to hit a target 1,000 km away.
They added that this test confirmed the handling of the hypersonic combat unit.
Photographs published by the website of the official newspaper of the ruling Workers' Party, Rodong Sinmun, show the completion of the rocket under the gaze of leader Kim, who is wearing a leather coat and binoculars to give him a better view of the launch.
Before the KCNA, he assured that the predominant mobility of the hypersonic vehicle was proven much more firmly in the most recent completion test.
Different images published in the Rodong Sinmun show the rocket finished on the ground in the early morning in the middle of fire and smoke, while Kim talks with the officers.
This is the third test reported to the population of a hypersonic rocket by North Korea. The first was in September 2021 and the second, last week.
The South Korean guard considered that this shot reached hypersonic speed and obviously shows the "leap forward" from a week ago.
Hypersonic rockets fly at speeds of Mach 5 and a bit more. In addition, they can change direction in mid-flight, which would be difficult to distinguish and capture them.
Russia is seen as the world innovator in this innovation. This country, as well as China and the United States, confirmed that they have already effectively tested hypersonic glide warheads.
Over the past 10 years, with Kim Jong in power, North Korea has received various international sanctions, as they have focused on engineering rapid advances in their military innovation.
Hypersonic missiles are the top priority for the next five years in the strategic weapons plan.
The North Korean professor from Kyung University of Seil, Lim Eul-chul, assured that the presence of the North Korean leader in the equipment test generates confidence in the level of advance of the missile, indicating satisfactory results.
