Rape of five minors to a young woman reopens the debate in Germany on the minimum criminal age
At present, it is known that the young population is somewhat disoriented before the entities of order, respect and responsibility. Since they want to do adult things and even heinous crimes and be judged as children.
But how is it possible that to do these things or any other activity they want to be treated as adults and conveniently to be subjected to trials as minors.
Although it is true what the president, Jens Gnisa of the German Association of Judges, said: “The equation 'more laws less crime' does not work with young people”. Well, the head of the police union, Rainer Wendt, requested a reduction in the criminal age to twelve years (currently at 14). This request was also rejected by Christine Lambrecht Minister of Justice.
After the events that occurred at the hands of five young people between 12 and 14 years old, who sexually abused and mistreated an 18-year-old girl last Friday in the town of Mülheim. This act can lead to severe controversy between countries. Well, those who committed the crime are from the Bulgarian minority in Turkey and their victim is from Germany.
On the other hand, it is emphasized that these cases the vast majority of them are carried out by German citizens, in a smaller number by immigrants.
It is said that following investigations into the case in Duisburg, a 14-year-old suspected is in custody. Well, it is considered highly dangerous and a repeat offender of the facts.
Due to the fact that it was presented, the Germans reopened the debate to establish the minimum age of criminal responsibility.
The high rate of cases presented both in crimes not as delicate as those of rape and others in which the majority are at the hands of young people, is to emphasize that if they commit these acts as adults, they should be judged as such. Well, the lack of severity and taking action on the matter makes them mock and do not abide by the laws imposed by the local justice system.
