Chile provides emergency passports to its citizens who wish to flee from Ukraine
Government asks the Polish authorities to eliminate the presentation of negative tests for Covid-19.
The Chilean government, after the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, notified that emergency passports will be delivered to Chileans who do not have documents and who are seeking to leave Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry issued a statement indicating that the officials of the Chilean embassy located in Poland will be in charge of delivering emergency passports to all Chileans who are at the border of entry with Ukraine, and who do not have their documents. In the process, you must inform if you do not have your valid passport so that the delivery can be coordinated.
Likewise, the Ministry made a call to all Chilean citizens living in Ukraine, requesting that they seek shelter or do their best to leave the country by some type of land transport available at the time.
The Chilean Government is in charge of managing the shipment of vehicles and buses, through its embassy in Poland.
Currently, the country is in talks with the Polish authorities to eliminate the requirement of a negative result for COVID-19 requested by the country, at the time of admission.
All procedures and communications between Chile and Ukraine are carried out through the embassy in Warsaw and through consulates in other countries, such as Romania and Hungary, since Chile does not have a diplomatic relationship with Ukraine. The Foreign Ministry reported that, in its last cadastre, it registered 53 Chileans in Ukrainian territory.
