The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that he met with two US officials this weekend, this meeting was held in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and was televised for the entire nation to see.
The two officials who attended the meeting this past Sunday with Nicolás Maduro were the deputy assistant secretary for the Western Hemisphere, Juan González, and the ambassador for Venezuelan affairs, James Story.
