Russian boxer Maxim Dadashev dies after beating received in the ring by Subriel Matías (Puerto Rico)
The boxing world has received with regret the news that the Russian boxer Maxim Dadashev, who faced Puerto Rican Subriel Matías days ago, died hours ago as a result of the brutal beating that the Latin boxer gave him and that he forced the fight to stop in round number 11.
Despite the fact that the development of the fight did not show an exaggerated inclination towards the Puerto Rican fighter, we can even see Dadashev (video at the end of the post) placing good blows in Matías's face, the huge punch of the Latino was making It takes a toll on the Russian's humanity, which explains the technical KO in the eleventh round.
A matter of resistance
In general, in boxing the punchers with the best punch have good resistance, as if the body balanced things, perhaps this explains why Matías did not even end up dizzy (although his cheekbones were swollen), while the Russian, although conscious, did not show agility to get back into the fight, so her corner stopped her throwing in the towel. With a shower of blows crossed both sides, the Russian Dadashev ended up in the hospital and died a few days later, while the Latin boxer Matías celebrated his victory in the ring at the end of the fight.
In comments from boxing fans, many criticize the judge for letting the fight go to the point where Dadashev could not continue, but really that is the extreme that he must wait, while the boxers are agile to continue fighting, he cannot stop the fight. And the fact is that the Russian boxer did not fall to the canvas at the time of stopping the fight, he walked to his corner, and it was those of his team who noticed the null reflexes and decided to stop the fight to take care of their health... although it was late.
Maxim Dadashev struggled for days with injuries and bruises from the fight, but in the end he did not resist and said goodbye to the world with a career that, before his defeat against the Puerto Rican, ranked him as one of the best boxers of the moment.
It was about two prospects, two knockouts and obviously the judge was attentive to stop in case of a dangerous situation at the time or to notice a bad physical condition of one of the fighters, but it is difficult to judge the referee or anyone in this case, the Boxer remained on his feet and throwing punches in the 11th round, despite taking the brutal beating he did not appear dazed until it was time to sit in his corner.
A life of accumulated blows in his humanity
Anyone who has seen the Rocky movie or real life cases will understand, when a boxer ends up in a wheelchair, with clots in the brain or dies like Dadashev after a fight, it is usually the result of years receiving blows, the result accumulates and an explosive fight is the trigger, but it is a sport where these risks exist, especially when they are boxers with a high percentage of KOs in their careers and with a resistance like Dadashev's, which led him to resist standing up and throwing punches when inside he was practically destroyed.
Subriel Matías sent a message of protest to the governor of Puerto Rico
At the moment of victory we could see the boxer Subriel Matías carry not only his flag, he also raises a poster where it is clearly read:
"RICKY GIVES UP HUCK". In clear reference to the protests carried out by the people of Puerto Rico against the island's governor and that have his government reeling.
