Colombia: Rodolfo Hernández agrees to participate in the presidential debate
The presidential candidate complied with the order issued by the Superior Court of Bogotá and added its conditions
Rodolfo Hernández, the candidate for the presidency of Colombia, announced that he would participate in a debate with his opponent Gustavo Petro, taking into account some conditions that must be generated for his participation.
The information was made known by Rodolfo Hernández through a statement that he shared through his campaign media, where he stated that he was "ready to debate", and among the topics to be discussed should include: "dirty campaign to smear containers politicians, and the abusive use of budget resources for campaigns”.
Likewise, he stressed that within the debate, which will take place through the public media, he said that "he will not contribute a single peso", since he considers it as an "unnecessary waste of money".
The news was released after this Wednesday the Superior Court of Bogotá ordered the presidential candidates to schedule a debate. This no later than 48 hours after the ruling was issued.
On the other hand, a left-wing candidate for the Gusta Petro Historical Pact alliance declared through his Twitter account that he accepted the court's order, but pointed out that said debate must be "without conditions for the press."
