BLACKPINK breaks YouTube records with their Kill This Love music video
BLACKPINK is a female K-pop group, which is always in the spotlight around the world thanks to its great popularity. In this way, it would not be strange to hear from them again when we learn the news that they have broken a series of YouTube records that no other artist has achieved in history since that streaming platform was inaugurated.
Kill This Love has been a music video that has made history since it premiered on YouTube. Thus, we already saw that it became one of the most viewed videos on its opening day, managing to be placed on a list that includes names such as Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Even so, it seems that this list of achievements continues to rise.
Yesterday, August 17, Kill This Love surpassed the 10 million mark, a figure they had already achieved with their previous DDU-DU DDU-DU video. This figure would become an achievement that only 3 other female artists have achieved: Adele with Hello, Dua Lipa with New Rules, and Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes with Señorita.
BLACKPINK also became the only female artist to achieve such a feat of having 2 music videos with over 10 million likes. Therefore, their fans or BLINK would be celebrating such a commemorative date for the K-pop group, which seems to not stop until they become the most famous artists of today.
BLACKPINK recently announced their return to Japan with the Japanese version of their single Kill This Love. All of this generated enthusiasm among the BLINKs and in the K-pop community, as these members had been away from the public spotlight for a great number of months. Therefore, it seems that Rose, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo would be returning to that territory in a big way.
