Venice is considered as the city that has it all. There is no literary artist, poet or filmmaker who will not use Venice as a source of inspiration, but he is drowning in the trash. Climate change, tourists and the lack of foreign culture, Venice has overflowed with problems, especially solid waste that is not controlled by visitors and is a job that locals are getting out of hand.

Venice is a city that has a little more than 260 thousand inhabitants. It has a social fabric quite committed by the city and also consider tourism as a key source of income. However, tourism has caused more problems in recent years than profits.

In Colombia, in crystal channels, sierra nevada and other tourist sites, the entry of domestic and foreign tourists was forbidden until resources were recovered, now they are safe to visit with strict environmental measures. In Barcelona, ​​the tourism model was reconsidered and will become an efficient model in the coming years, forcing tourists to conserve the city.

But nevertheless, Venice does not have the same luck. It is not a city rich in natural resources like Colombia or attractions like Barcelona. They live in tourism and there is a belief that large multinationals seek to turn it into a theme park for tourists where they can do whatever they want.

If you are looking for photographs of Venice on the internet, you will see clean roads, open channels, without decongestion and a lot of beauty. But, the city suffers a flood due to climate change and tourists do not make good contributions, as they constantly throw garbage into the canals and the few streets that the city has.

The cruises have caused some of the main problems in Venice. Its constant arrival absorbs the resources of the city but does not generate a self-sufficiency of what should be a sustainable economy. Even some documentaries record how photographers capture special moments at a wedding, while a few meters there is an incredible amount of garbage.

The problem is that for 20 years this behavior has been announced and no one took action on the matter. Today, when everything is in constant restoration they want to solve a trash problem that leads since the last century causing havoc and that for two decades was asked to stop the behavior.

Currently, efficient consumption policies are being advanced, which translates into an increase in taxes to pay many employees who are in charge of controlling garbage, which is why the city calls the culture, to solve the problem.
