What is a brain tumor?

A brain tumor is an abnormal cell growth in brain tissue. These tumors are divided into two classes. Benign tumors and malignant tumors. Benign tumors are those that are not cancerous. And the malignant ones are those that have cancer cells that grow very fast.

Some are primary, which grew directly in the brain. Other metastases which started in another part of the body, and and they went straight to the brain.

These are diagnosed by a neurological examination other tests such as magnetic resonance, computed tomography or a biopsy.
