Zebra with dots instead of stripes found in Africa
The event occurred after a photographer detailed something strange about a herd of Zebras. It was a newborn zebra with a series of white dots instead of stripes. The zebra is found in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
A close-up view of the photograph reveals a series of white dots, but not on the back. However, some stripes are found on the legs. However, when the photograph was released, the experts determined that the zebra really suffers from a melanin disorder.
Melanin is caused by an excess of dark pigmentation in the skin, leading to albinism. Thus, a zebra with these qualities will not develop properly. In this case, the stripes will appear in some parts, especially on the legs, but the dark part will end up completely covering the animal.
The photographic record aroused the curiosity of tourists who have been signing up for the activities carried out by the Masai Mara National Reserve, in order to photograph or observe the zebra.
