Angelina Jolie demonstrates after the ban on "Eternals" in some countries
The Hollywood actress who plays Thena in the film, one of the main characters, has called the people who have caused the ban on "Eternals" to be banned for certain sex scenes as "ignorant" and has said that she is happy that Marvel declined the request to remove them.
Angelina Jolie thinks that the people who cataloged the Marvel movie as inappropriate are ignorant people and thanks to these people the movie "Eternals" in certain countries was banned for having scenes where the characters have sexual relations.
This caused a strong inconvenience for the producers of Marvel and Disney, since, many industries were offended by its content and had to ban the series in several countries, since, they refused to remove these scenes from the film.
Request to remove scenes from "Eternals" for having sexual content
Disney yesterday chose not to deliver "Eternals" in the Persian Gulf nations, since it has not eliminated parts of the plot, because this would cause severe legal problems with the census authorities of the countries that requested that they remove the sexual content of the Filmation.
"The Hollywood Reporter" indicated that the studio apparently did not want to cut a couple of moments from a scene in which two main characters (Richard Madden and Gemma Chan) are seen having sex.
Because from the point of view of the film's producers, this scene cost them several hours to produce, and they didn't agree with the idea of throwing all this work away. That is why they refused to remove these types of scenes from their film, and it also has nothing out of the ordinary.
However, they had also asked to completely eliminate the appearances of the gay superhero "Phastos", a character who is played by Brian Tyree Henry, since, on several occasions, he was seen having relationships and with inappropriate behavior for viewers.
Jolie mentions that she's proud that Marvel didn't remove the sexually-content scenes
"It makes me sad", Jolie said of the audience who can't see the movie, yet "she is glad" that Marvel isn't eliminating those scenes.
During a meeting with the Australian media, Angelina Jolie said:
"I'm not sure how we deal with a daily reality such that there are still individuals who do not respect the family that Phastos has and the magnificence of that relationship and that affection."
"Any individual who is angry with her, who feels compromised by her, who does not respect her or who does not like her, is completely ignorant," said the famous Angelina Jolie.
According to Deadline magazine, the film has been restricted in Qatar and Kuwait, as its plot, which features a group of superheroes sent by divine beings, is considered disrespectful.
Some countries will remove sex scenes from the movie "Eternals"
In addition, in different regions such as Lebanon and Egypt, the film will still be delivered, but, any intimate, gay or straight scenes from "Eternals" will be eliminated, a typical practice of Hollywood studios in certain nations.
Coordinated by Chloé Zhao, winner of an Oscar for "Nomadland" (2020), it has a surprising cast that includes the Mexican Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie and Kit Harington.
Its plot portrays an apparently ordinary world in which the cunning "Degenerates" emerge to engage people, leading the "Eternals", an extraterrestrial society made by divine beings and residing in penetrating the Earth for millennia, to do war.
