María Carey had an embarrassing moment when she sent the wrong message to Shawn Mendes
The exchange of messages between Carey and Mendes has been very popular in recent months.
Artist Mariah Carey revealed that she accidentally sent a message to Shawn Mendes.
Carey confused Mendes' name with that of his cousin, who goes by the same name and has the same initial letter in his last name.
Through the social network, she said that she and her cousin Shawn M have a silly joke in which they wish each other 'Happy Thanksgiving' on St. Patrick's Day.
In the exchange of messages, Carey wrote "Happy Thanksgiving" next to an emoji of a leaf. To which the artist replied that he imagined it was a joke.
The singer, last year, shared a shirtless selfie on social media and shared a list of thanks, including to the 52-year-old singer.
In that list he was thankful for the sun, the coffee, his salt, his family, the music, the humans and for the old songs of Mariah Carey.
Carey, a day later, shared a selfie of herself looking up at the sky and showing her arms wide open, copying Shawn Mendes' caption and post.
In the caption for the photo, the Grammy winner also gave thanks for sun, tea, her health, her family, music, humans, and old Shawn Mendes songs.
Mendes was quick to respond to Carey, writing in a post on Twitter and adding a laughing emoji and two hearts. Carey then responded to that post with just two kissing emojis.
