Gustavo Petro gave a drunken speech

Petro leads the presidential candidate list for voting purposes

Last Monday, the candidate for the Colombian presidency, Gustavo Petro, could be seen at a political rally, held in a public square in the city of Girardort.

Petro confirmed his presence at that meeting, as well as his drunken state. However, many netizens posted on social networks that it was a simple right-wing manipulation. His detractors confirmed that he had not done any editing to the video.

In his Twitter account, the candidate published that after the trip to Europe and due to the time change, he was very tired. In a previous meeting he had a drink and he did not like it, so he ended up drunk.

It was he who was in charge of dealing with the situation, after the speculations generated. He also apologized to those present and said that, regardless of his condition and fatigue, he fulfilled the commitment.

The candidate for the Democratic Center, the ruling party, Óscar Iván Zuluaga, assured that there are some politicians who drink too much with power, but there are other politicians who seem to have done it before.

Gustavo Petro currently continues to be the candidate with the best position in the first round, which is about to take place next May.
