Václav Marhoul's Painted Bird causes people to run out of the cinema
In each new installment there are films that surprise their audience. News recently reached us about a film by director Václav Marhoul called The Painted Bird. So far it has only been released at festivals and the people who attend this film end up leaving the room for not tolerating the images.
The film is violent and gloomy. It is based on the novel by Jerzy Kosinski and tells in detail every part of the book. The story is about a Jewish boy sent to Eastern Europe to avoid being hunted by the Germans. However, the story gets complicated when the person who cared for him dies suddenly.
Jerzy Kosinski's novel includes scenes of rape, bestiality and incest. The film collected the strongest of the novel and some people have not tolerated these images. So far, they report that people leave the cinema before the time and the reasons are due to the strength of the story.
Many media believe that the film will become the hidden genre or banned films. With the positive but inhumane criticism it is receiving, many countries will refuse to screen it in theaters.
