Biden will send $1 billion and drones as military aid to Ukraine
Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed US lawmakers twice in less than a month.
President Joe Biden announced a new military aid package to Ukraine, which is valued at $1 billion.
In addition to this, he decided to send US drones, and assured that, in this way, he will be helping the country to achieve longer-range anti-aircraft systems to achieve efficient defense against Russian bombing.
At the White House, Biden made an announcement of the delivery of 800 million dollars in assistance to the Ukrainian country.
This notification was after Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, indicated to the United States Congress, a no-fly zone over his country.
Zelensky gave a speech before both houses of the United States Congress. This is the second time the president has addressed US lawmakers in less than a month.
Since January 2021, when Biden became president of the United States, he has donated a total of $2 billion in humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine.
Ukraine has been supplied with 600 Stringer and 2,600 Javelin missiles by the US Armed Forces.
The Wall Street Journal detailed that the money to finance this new aid package is already included in the expenses and was signed by Biden last Tuesday.
This aid, which is made because of the Russian invasion, would be 13.6 billion dollars of military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
