Gabriel Boric was elected president last Sunday

Its first political committee is made up of members of the political party and their close advisers Izkia Siches and Giorgio Jackson.

Camila Quiroz, interim president of Commons, Francisca Perales vice president of Social Convergence, Margarita Portuguez Democratic Revolution (RD), Guillermo Teillier, of the Communist Party (PC) also attended the meeting held in the Barrio Italia sector where Boric's command operated.

Teillier assured, at the end of the meeting, that the president-elect has full freedom to make decisions about the cabinet and government positions.

In addition, he pointed out that a constant meeting was agreed every Monday, with the political parties of Approve Dignity.

They insist that the more support they have to put the legislative and programmatic agenda into motion, the more support they have to achieve the desired results. For this, the Socialist Party (PS) will join the cabinet.

Boric assures that the structure of the search group for possible candidates to the cabinet and important positions in La Moneda is a very arduous job, since he does not want any type of failures or mistakes.

Major challenges

At this meeting, the team members assured their willingness to collaborate with the process, granting the president-elect full freedom to make decisions in accordance with her cabinet.

Giorgio Jackson reported that the agreement to expand the pact, with the center-left group or ex-Concertacion, begins immediately.

Ensuring that the challenges are immense and that they understand that only I Approve Dignity will not suffice, on the contrary, a great team is needed for the challenges embodied in the government plan.

They expect the cabinet to be made up of competitive professionals, who will fulfill their role and perform in every position.

They aspire to be responsible people with the agendas they have planned. Regardless of whether they are followers. In addition, they want civil society, academia and NGOs to be part of this project.

The limit established for the presentation of the ministerial team will be close to January 22, 2022. Boric wishes to give a sign of tranquility that the certainties, the certainties in economic matters are important.

Economist requested

After the results of the presidential elections, one of the news that most worries citizens is the election of Boric's economist.

Until now, they do not know who will fill the vacant position. However, something that is on the table is that this position should be filled by someone with great knowledge of public finance, as it will be a great challenge in the coming months.

The economists of Approve Dignidad insist that it is necessary to form this team with experts such as Javiera Martínez or Javiera Petersen. His knowledge would be of great help in terms of pensions, employment and education.

The former president of the Central Bank, Roberto Zahler, is a possible candidate.

Despite excluding him, after his words to DF before the elections, there is no clear knowledge of his disposition. However, Andrés Zahler -his son-, published on the social network Twitter: “as far as I know, he has not said no”.

Another possible candidate could be Guillermo Larraín. The former Superintendent of Pensions, who is an academic at the University of Chile, former president of Banco de Estado, de Valores y Seguros, was part of the Advisory Council of the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank, manager of studies at BBVA and coordinator of Macroeconomic Policy of the Treasury.

Also, the founder of Public Space, Eduardo Engel, is another feasible candidate. He was an academic at Harvard, Yale and the University of Chile.

In addition, a consultant for the World Bank, IMF and IDB, leader of the Fiscal Advisory Council, currently the Autonomous Fiscal Council, chaired the Presidential Advisory Council against conflicts of interest, influence peddling and corruption.
