The little boy received several offerings during the Muslim prayer that took place at noon, a few kilometers from Ighran, where the event took place.

A preacher of the faith, was in charge of offering prayers for the companions and the family, before his burial.

Mounir Murid, one of the villagers, considers that they did not expect to live such a difficult moment like this. In addition, he assured that the little one will always be in their hearts.

He added that the Rayan case helped bring to light the situation in that region, since they had never seen any politician or media. He added that they do not have hospitals, roads, network, or education.

The remains of the child were removed and taken to the Rabat military hospital on Saturday night. They report that an autopsy would be performed on the site.

The boy's plight became a national interest. In the King's office, the announcement of his death was made after the rescue work on Saturday.

King Mohamed VI communicated by telephone with his parents to offer his condolences.

A user on Twitter published that this fact generated a great union among all those who were following his rescue. Another netizen expressed that Rayan is a little angel and that he fought until the end.

Pope Francis issued a message in which he stressed that, in the rescue of Rayan, the people of Morocco were united. In a prayer, held at the Vatican, the pope said that the team tried, but unfortunately the child did not survive, but they gave a great example of work.

Djamel Belmadi, the coach of the Algerian football team, expressed his condolences to Rayan's family, amidst the tension in Rabat and Algiers.

On the page of the selection they published a message assuring that the pain and sorrow are great, but it does not compare with the suffering of their parents and relatives.

The rescuers were also honored as their great work was broadcast on the internet and followed by many people.

The filling of the emergency tunnel, dug in the operation, and of the well, began on Monday.
