This temporary measure was taken after some discussions between the Israeli authorities, including Lapid and Prime Minister Neftali Benet.

All with the aim of avoiding at all costs any inconvenience resulting from a rise in tension between Ukraine and Russia.

Likewise, the Israeli Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, declared for the local television channel "Channel 12", that although he hopes to continue good relations with Russia, the United States will be his "natural ally" in the face of a possible advance in the conflict. in Ukraine.

Lapid also spoke about the need to protect the Jewish community that lives in these territories in conflict.

For its part, Israel will continue to have relations with the three countries that could enter into armed conflict, such as: Russia, Ukraine and the United States.

For this reason, and despite the fact that his allies asked him for help with respect to their defense, he will remain cautious and low profile regarding diplomatic relations with the governments of these territories.
