Obama has not visited the White House since 2017 when his term ended

The former US president, Barack Obama, visited the White House for the first time after his term, with the aim of supporting President Joe Biden, facing the next presidential elections that will take place in 2022.

Obama was received in the best way by the national executive and by all the Democrats and members of the Biden administration who were in the room; and took the opportunity to participate in a health care activity, in which they both promoted the Affordable Care Act.

"Welcome back to the White House. It feels like old times," Biden told him, to a standing ovation from staff and members of Congress.

For the former president, this visit represented a lot, since since 2017 he had not passed through the revered corridors or the historic rooms of the presidential compound.

His presence created an emotional, joyful and humorous atmosphere. Obama even joked and called Biden "vice president" from the microphone, to which Biden played along by introducing himself as: "Vice President Biden."

The current ruler of the United States, who for two terms worked hand in hand with the first black president in this nation, was very happy and moved by Barack Obama's decision to attend and support him at this time.

Comments on Twitter

After the visit, videos began to circulate where they are seen walking through the corridors of the White House and Obama receiving attention, compliments and greetings, while Biden was to one side, visibly uncomfortable due to the lack of attention of the attendees towards him.

Internet users highlighted the moment in which the president of the United States, was totally ignored by the colleagues who were in the place, among them, the vice president Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar and Nancy Pelosi, president of the House of Representatives of the nation.

After the event, Obama posted a message on his Twitter account, thanking and supporting Biden for the important act he did, which benefits millions of Americans.

"It's always great to catch up with @POTUS. Thank you for all you're doing to help more Americans have access to quality, affordable health care."

Despite Obama's words, social networks have not stopped talking about the uncomfortable situation that Joe Biden experienced, which was recorded in a video that has gone around the world, has been reproduced millions of times, and therefore seen will remain in the public arena.
