In the world, there seems to be a basic rule that alludes to duality, from which opposites that complement each other start, such as day and night, women and men, good and evil, or war and peace.

In this sense, the war in Ukraine shows us a noble face of human beings, thanks to the large number of volunteers who have crossed thousands of kilometers to help all the refugees who have managed to leave the country on the Ukrainian border.

These volunteers are characterized by their independent action, that is, they are human beings sensitized by the situation, who through their resources, have managed to reach the Ukrainian border to provide help to those in need.

On this occasion, we will learn about some stories of European volunteers, who have decided to collaborate with Ukrainian refugees; those who have suffered the pain of war, and on many occasions, leave Ukraine with nothing.

From Spain to the Polish-Ukrainian border

One of the countries that have collaborated the most with the refugees from Ukraine is Spain, where a large number of people have moved to the border; to bring medicines, food, and facilitate the arrival in Spain, of a good number of families.

There are stories of people who have conditioned vans for these purposes or groups of friends who have become true help networks; who carry humanitarian aid and return with refugees to Spanish lands.

Spanish convoys heading for the border

The border where refugees arrive is very wide, including several countries, and aid does not arrive in all areas equally, for that reason, several Spaniards organized in a convoy of buses or vans, have decided to go to places where less aid arrives.

From Madrid, a group of 7 buses, sponsored by Spanish businessmen loaded with humanitarian aid, left in recent days; that later, he will return to the Iberian Peninsula with Ukrainian refugees, who will be received in several Spanish cities.

Similarly, a group called "Hope Convoy", has the mission of reaching the Ukrainian border, to look for refugees who have relatives in Spain, where they will have an easy and quick reception in this European country.

Several NGOs and groups of individuals continue to cross the European roads, to extend a helping hand to all those people who have managed to get out of this war.

Everywhere in Europe, the doors of houses are opened to refugees

Not only in Spain do they show solidarity with the refugees from Ukraine, from all over Europe groups of people have come out, bringing humanitarian aid to collaborate with the refugees.

Several citizens of the countries neighboring Ukraine and from all over Europe have opened the doors of their houses to receive refugee families for the duration of the war.

Many of these people allow refugees to come home with their pets, some of them seek that families have similar ages to their children, so that Ukrainian children feel accompanied.

These acts of kindness and help are some signs that the majority of mankind rejects war, and sympathizes with those who suffer and suffer, seeking peace.

Every negative action usually has a positive counterpart, being the volunteers on the Ukrainian border, the good face of this warlike conflict.

Importance of volunteers in Ukraine

Most of the refugees are women and children, who have managed to leave Ukraine, crossing the country at a great emotional cost.

Many of these families have left their husbands, fathers, brothers, in the struggle; the great majority have had to travel listening to explosions, observing troop movements, living with the latent fear of being captured, dying in an attack, or any other eventuality.

For this reason, the role of volunteers is fundamental, since many refugees from war maintain that receiving a helping hand, acts of solidarity, sharing words in a different country where peace is breathed, are priceless.

Translators are requested at the borders to help volunteers

An inconvenience that has generated some setbacks is the language barrier within these humanitarian tasks and the transfers of Ukrainian refugees to various cities in Europe.

Most of those who have been carrying out this work are Ukrainians who live in bordering countries, who have managed to be the communication bridge between locals who ask for help, and refugee families from Ukraine.

An example of this can be seen in each bordering country (Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova), where some volunteers have alleviated the language problems, trying to reassure several refugees who, despite leaving Ukraine, are still in fear.

This inconvenience is observed throughout the Ukrainian border, asking trained translators to carry out this volunteer work, to better help people leaving Ukraine.

The volunteers who have arrived at the border are a beacon of hope during all this armed conflict.
