According to Anonymous, they have 820 GB of information on the Russian Federal Agency
The group of hacktivists has announced that they have about 820 GB of information from the Russian government.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, the hacktivist group known as Anonymous has been carrying out cyber attacks against Russian agencies, and they have attacked a large number of Russian websites and platforms.

The group recently announced that it has almost 820 GB of information in its possession that it has managed to extract from Roskomnazor, the Russian federal service. All this information has been obtained in the midst of the cyber war that they have been waging these last few weeks.

An all-out cyber war

Anonymous is in a cyber war with the Russian government and institutions.

The hacktivist group has been recruiting people to help them wage a cyber war against the Russian government. Many people have answered the call of the organization and since then they have not rested.

An example of this has been this hack in which some 364,000 files with a total weight of 527 GB. Additionally, the group has an additional 290 GB of data that has not yet been processed.

Anonymous is looking for a way to process and extract all this information, but at the moment they have not been able to, since they are in proprietary formats.

As reported, most of the available files are emails. However, it will be necessary to wait until all the data is processed to know what type of information is found.

Mass hacks in Russia

The group has hacked into a large number of Russian media outlets and portals.

Since the war between Russia and Ukraine started, Anonymous activists have hacked a large number of websites. They have even been able to hack media outlets, both state and private.

Through these, they have been able to spread information within the country, since the Russian media is prohibited from showing images about the war. They can't even call it "war"; however, this group has been responsible for transmitting information within the country.

Among the stolen files, it was learned that some are very recent, even from this same month of March. These are among the files that they have not yet been able to process, however it is hoped that they will be able to do so soon.

Anonymous has justified this attack on the grounds that Roskomnadzor has been the repressive arm of the Russian government. This group has been in charge of censoring the media, it has already promoted disinformation.

It has even been in charge of carrying out propaganda in favor of the Russian government, justifying the invasion of its neighboring country, Ukraine.

Files are available on the web

It is important to be very careful with the information, as it could have been altered or contain malware.

Anonymous has leaked these files so that they are in the public domain and accessible to everyone. However, they have been clear about something, and that is that these files can become dangerous for users.

Because it is a war between two sides, it is not ruled out that one of them may have malware. It is even possible that there is manipulated information or that it is false and that it can cause conflicts.

That is why they have urged people who are interested in reviewing this information to be very careful.

Anonymous assures that the attacks will continue

The hacker group has assured that this is only the beginning and the attacks will continue as long as Russia does not stop its hostilities. In other words, in the next few days we could be receiving more information about the advance that it maintains against the Russian institutions.

Although the real scope that these measures have against the Russian government is not known or if they really affect something. However, at least Anonymous is supporting the cause within its means.
