'Obi-Wan Kenobi' announced official release date and new details
The new series of the 'Star Wars' franchise has undergone some changes with respect to its premiere, since they have had to postpone their debut due to production problems.
The new series ' Obi-Wan Kenobi ' has been one of the most anticipated installments of Disney+, since it will continue the events of 'The Book of Boba Fett'.
A couple of days ago, the producers of ' Obi-Wan Kenobi' announced via Twitter that the premiere of the first episodes of the installment will be postponed. However, to compensate for the long wait for fans of the franchise, they have decided to publish a double episode on the debut date of the next installment.
This news has moved Star Wars fans, since the main idea of the streaming platform was to publish the episodes by unit progressively every week.
Also, it was confirmed that actor 'Ewan McGregor' will return to the screen to play the Jedi Master in Leia's story.
'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Series Reveals New Plot Details
This next production created by 'Hossein Amini' and 'Joby Harold' will be the story that tells about the beginnings of the knight 'Obi-Wan'.
The debut date of the series was announced in February, increasing the hype of all fans of the franchise, since it coincided with the anniversary of the first installment of the saga in 1977.
However, the premiere date of the series was modified due to production problems.
The statement was released by 'Ewan McGregor' himself during the production of Disney +. Where he offered new details about the first episodes of ' Obi-Wan Kenobi '.
Ewan McGregor stated that, in the first episodes, they would show for the first time the young version of the renowned Jedi Knight of the Galactic Republic.
Showing his first official mission, which will reveal the new objectives of Obi-Wan, who will be trying to survive to avoid the extinction of the Jedi.
The series will be set 10 years after the tragic battle of 'Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith'.
In the first episode we will see the Kenobi 9 years before facing Darth Vader on the Death Star. Obi-Wan will find himself wounded and defeated after the fall of his Jedi apprentice 'Anakin Skywalker'.
About the new cast of the series
The new cast of the series was revealed after the statement broadcast by Disney +, where it was announced that it will be headed by McGregor.
In addition, it will also feature familiar faces from the cinema, including: 'Joel Edgerton' who will play Owen Lars, 'Hayden Christensen' as Darth Vader and we will be seeing 'Bonnie Piesse' as Beru Lars.
