England stops requiring masks and Covid-19 certificates

Despite the measure, railway operators, stores and supermarkets in the country reported that they will continue to require their citizens to use masks.

As of last Thursday, Covid-19 masks and certificates are no longer legal requirements, after the British Government reported the easing of pandemic restrictions.

After the commitment by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to seek complete normality in the country, this decision was made. From now on, the decision to use the mask will be based on personal judgment, as reported by an official spokesman.

Despite this decision, the mandatory use of masks in places with many people and closed spaces will continue. This was notified by the Government, it is already a guideline by Public Health.

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, indicated that the use of masks will continue to be mandatory in the transport services of the capital. In this way, it invites citizens to continue doing the right thing.

Private organizations will have the opportunity to decide whether they will require the presentation of a Covid-19 certificate from those who visit the facilities.

In the country, the orders to send employees to work from their homes and the use of masks in high school students, had already been eliminated.

The Government's plan to ease the restrictions is called Plan B. Last week it was approved after a review of official data showing the rate of infections, the effectiveness of vaccines, work absences, the pressures of Covid-19, and scientific studies.
