Baked spinach au gratin

A spectacular dish.

In the oven, we are going to prepare some wonderful gratin spinach.

This preparation, unlike other recipes, uses less bechamel sauce and we do not mix it with the spinach. Only that the sauce will be used to make a layer of coverage on which we will put the Parmesan cheese so that it melts and toasts in the oven.

This is a light recipe with less calories, although equally delicious, that we can present at dinner time from time to time as a main course. Or as a starter at noon, which can serve as a starter.

This recipe is delicious and very easy for a good starter, valid for 2 people, so you will have to double the quantities if you have guests, and it will only take 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of fresh or frozen spinach leaves.

  • 6 tablespoons of bechamel sauce.

  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.

  • ¼ cup of water.

  • Salt to taste.

  • 20 grams of flour.

  • 1/2 liter of whole milk.

How to prepare spinach au gratin?

  1. In a pot, bring the previously washed spinach to the fire with water and salt. Cook the spinach for 10 minutes.

  2. After some time they are strained, to remove all traces of water, draining well by pressing against a strainer.

  3. We distribute in two suitable sources for the oven, once the spinach is ready.

  4. We prepare a homemade bechamel sauce by placing three quarters of the milk in a pot and bringing it to a high heat with the butter and salt to taste.

  5. We dissolve the flour in the rest of the milk and before the milk comes to a boil in the pot, the flour is incorporated, mixing constantly.

  6. Once the bechamel is ready, we place enough to cover the spinach in each source. Without mixing as in the cream of spinach, we just cover them with the sauce.

  7. Add the Parmesan cheese on top and gratin in the oven. You can use electric, micro or normal oven.

  8. Before serving, about four minutes to brown the cheese will be enough, leaving the spinach in the upper part of the oven, at maximum power.

Take to the table so they are very hot.
