Chinese President Xi Jinping says a global confrontation would be catastrophic
Xi Jinping, president of the People's Republic of China, urged world power leaders on Monday to avoid falling into a Cold War environment, during a time of rising geopolitical tensions that would lead to catastrophic consequences.
In his speech, where he called for more cooperation in the fight against the pandemic, he promised that his administration would send one billion doses of vaccines to the nations most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
