Addressing the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos via videoconference, Xi said that history has proven many times that armed conflict does not solve problems, it only opens the door to decline.

The Chinese president, who is the main leader of the Chinese Communist Party, conveyed to the WEF his country's dedication to providing antibodies to the most disadvantaged countries, against climate change and for the full development of the world.

The Davos Forum is one of the most important multilateral meetings in the world, and is currently being held by videoconference as a result of the pandemic.

Xi is an active member in these meetings; In 2017, when the Trump administration was installed in the White House, he caused a great surprise in China and the world when he made public his defense of capitalist free trade and globalization, contrary to the political current of his party.

Currently, the Chinese chief returned to defending multilateralism and liberal international trade, while warning of rising tensions between the United States and China.

Xi assures that it is necessary to put aside the thought of the Cold War, he hopes that countries with differences and confrontations learn to coexist and reach middle ground where all parties are satisfied.
