Biden visits the Uvalde community to honor victims and meet with family
To try to "comfort" the community of Uvalde, devastated by the massacre of some 19 elementary students and two teachers, President Joe Biden made an appearance in the surroundings of the Texas elementary school.
The president of the United States attended accompanied by the first lady Jill Biden, where both were very moved by the death of the little ones, in an improvised memorial by the inhabitants of the community of Uvalde, in Texas.
While on his way to the Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral, Biden received with one voice, the crowd crying out for help, who chanted do something!, to which the president replied: We will do it!
This is his second visit to comfort a community grieving the tragic deaths of mass shootings. Last May 17, I spent in Buffalo, New York, where 10 people lost their lives, by an attacker inspired by a racist theory.
The shootings have only exposed the country's divisions and inability to reach consensus on actions to reduce gun violence.
