The flavor of Oreo cookies is one of the most delicious there is. That combination of chocolate chip cookie with vanilla or strawberry cream filling is really special.
For this reason, I bring you an easy and quick recipe to prepare that will make both adults and children fall in love. It is special, to share with family or friends. With this preparation, you can enjoy the same flavor of the Oreo cookie, but in a much larger version.
It is an oreo type cookie cake that you can prepare in advance, without risk of being disarm or change its flavor. I assure you that it will be the sensation and a delight to the palate, so let's start.
Ingredients
50 grams white chocolate.
50 grams sugar.
250 grams cream cheese.
150 grams of oreo cookies.
100 grams concentrated milk.
8 sheets of unflavored gelatin.
400 milliliters sour cream for whipping.
60 grams unsalted butter.
1 package of mini oreo cookies to decorate.
1 small spoonful of vanilla essence.
1 sheet of acetate or parchment paper.
1 ring mold or removable.
50 milliliters sour cream.
Preparation of the oreo cake
For the base of the oreo cookie cake
Take two packages of Oreo cookies, separate the cookies and scrape up the cream with a knife.
Place the cream in a container and in another container put the cookies without cream. Repeat until you separate the two packets of cookies.
You must repeat the previous procedure with the contents of the third package, only you must place it in a new container. These cookies will be processed to be included in the cream that has been collected from the first packages.
Now, it's time to process the cookies from each container separately. You can grind them with an appliance or the old fashioned way, in a mortar.
To the container with the powdered cookies from the two packages, add the melted butter and mix until a uniform dough is obtained. With this procedure, you will obtain the base of the cake.
Then, the ring or removable mold must be placed on top of the source where we are going to serve. This mold should have approximate measurements of 20 centimeters in diameter.
The acetate is located on the walls, to facilitate the unmolding of the cake at the end.
The cookie dough is then added evenly to the bottom. You should spread it with gentle pressure.
When it is ready, it is taken to the freezer while we prepare the filling.
To make the filling
For the filling, the gelatin should be hydrated in cold water, one by one separately.
In a pot, place the sour cream, the concentrated milk and the cream of the cookies.
Bring this mixture to the fire, mixing very well until the biscuit cream dissolves perfectly. When you achieve a homogeneous mixture, remove the pot from the heat.
Add the white chocolate and beat to incorporate it well into the mixture.
Then, one at a time and without water, add the gelatin to the pot and stir until dissolved.
In a large container, pour the vanilla essence and cream cheese.
With the help of a manual mixer, join them by adding the contents of the pot until everything is perfectly incorporated and we reserve.
Then, in a large container, place the cold sour cream.
Integrate the sugar to mount the cream, in a blender until it takes on a little body.
Little by little, we unite the mixture that had been previously made, with enveloping movements. So we have the filling ready.
to assemble
To continue the preparation, pour the mixture over the biscuit base, previously removed from the freezer. Set aside a little for decoration in a piping bag.
Seal with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 4 to 6 hours.
When the cake is very firm , with the help of a sieve we spread the powdered cookies, remove the acetate and decorate with the mixture that was previously reserved in the pastry bag. A very attractive detail is to place small oreo cookies.
Then, chop and enjoy.
If you have to wait before chopping the cake, it is best to have it in the fridge, if not, you can display it without any problem on your table.
recommendations
When we reserve the cream to decorate, we must also take it to the freezer until it is time to use it.
If the cream has curdled, take it to the microwave for a few seconds, so that it recovers consistency.
Ideally, it should be an Oreo cookie made from Oreo and decorated with Oreo. Unless it's the strawberry version, I recommend you don't add anything other than chocolate, cream, or oreo cookies.
Dare to make this magnificent Oreo cookie cake, which looks great on any occasion.
