Know everything about the new Xiaomi 12 Pro

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is one of the high-end phones that most promises in this new year 2022. It is not surprising if we take into account each of the characteristics that its developer, Xiaomi, revealed to us when presenting it.

Design

Regarding the style and design of the device, it does not present many changes compared to other terminals.

However, the only appreciable difference that is not even significant is the change in position of the notch, located this time in the central part.

However, the camera does present a much more minimalist design and content beyond the fact that it presents three lenses.

Indeed, it comes with a small relief that, together with the order of the sensors, gives the device a greater visual pleasure.

Of note is the fact that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be a much slimmer device than its predecessors. Specifically, it will have a thickness of 8.16 mm, which will allow it to be much lighter but affecting the capacity of the battery.

The screen is still an aspect that technology companies give more importance due to the better performance they give to users.

In this case, for the new Xiaomi we will have a size of 6.73 inches, being a midpoint of comparison between its predecessors.

Regarding the visual, it maintains a resolution of 2K and accompanied by the same LPTO technology on its screen.

The latter gives you the ability to have a refresh rate that can reach up to 120 Hz. Also, you can play both HDR10 + and Dolby Vision.

Processor and power

The new terminal will make a parade of what will be Xiaomi's latest most advanced processor with which they seek to adapt artificial intelligence functions.

It specifically talks about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 that seeks to give another level of optimization to the device.

The processor accompanies its work process with a RAM memory that, in its base version of the device reaches 8 GB of RAM. It means that, we will also have models that will reach 12 GB of capacity in their RAM.

With the arrival of the new operating systems, both MIUI and Android, a greater memory capacity is needed to withstand them. That is why we will have both a version with 128 GB of storage and one with 256 GB available.

Battery

One of the aspects that most characterizes Xiaomi is the fact that it includes high-power batteries in its terminals, even in the low range. However, in this case, its power is reduced by having a much thinner and lighter device.

However, it is still a large capacity battery, this being 4,600 mAh. Even so, the highlight of this item is that it has the fastest charging of all Xiaomi devices.

Specifically, it has a fast charging of 120 W, apart from a wireless charging of 50 W, and finally a reverse of 10 W. All these new features are only thanks to the new chip that Xiaomi includes in the 12 Pro, which would be the P1 emerges.

Thanks to the latter, users will be able to charge their new Xiaomi 12 Pro with a speed never seen before. In essence, it is capable of taking the battery level from 0 to 100% in just over 15 minutes, without going above 37 degrees Celsius.

Camera

New devices of any brand must optimize one important factor: the camera.

Nowadays, people rather than look at processors and new chips, are also focused on the capacity of the sensors of photographic lenses.

Going into detail, the new Xiaomi 12 Pro camera has a module that incorporates 3 lenses whose sensors reach 50 MP. It is a relevant and innovative feature with respect to what we have been seeing in the Xiaomi cameras.

In its main sensor we find a Sony IMX707 with the capacity to capture in 50 MP. In turn, it is accompanied by an f / 1.9 aperture with image stabilization functions.

On the other hand, it is larger than other models, which allows it to perceive a greater amount of light; it is important for the result.

For the telephoto sensor we also have a capture with 50 MP and maintaining the same aperture as the main one. It also incorporates an optical zoom capable of reaching 2X.

The ultra-wide angle is one of the novelties that follows the line of the 50 MP of capture, but increasing the aperture in f / 2.2. It also achieves a viewing range of up to 115 degrees. Finally, its powerful front camera reaches up to 32 MP.

When it comes to video recording, thanks to these lenses, you can record up to 8K quality at 30FPS. In addition to this, thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, it also allows quality in HDR10 +.

Also, noteworthy is the incorporation of CyberFocus technology in its camera sensors.

Basically, what it allows is better recognition of people's faces in order to achieve greater focus.

At what price would the new Xiaomi be available?

For now, the latest Xiaomi terminal is only available in the China region. Users are still awaiting official information regarding its launch for the rest of the world. For now, the prices that are handled for the Asian country are the following:

• Xiaomi 12 Pro (8 + 128 GB): 4,699 yuan which would be about 651 euros.

• Xiaomi 12 Pro (8 + 256 GB): 4,999 yuan, around 693 euros.

• Xiaomi 12 Pro (12 + 256 GB) 5,399 yuan, more or less about 748 euros.

We still have to wait for the certifications by Xiaomi to begin so that it can distribute its product throughout the world. Sources indicate that this would already be in process, so we could have it available for the first quarter of 2022.
