Learn to identify your body's alarm signals in time
The human body is a complex and wonderful machine that, although endowed with life, has an efficient system of warning signals.
At some point we have experienced a change, a sensation, a pain, or some stain that makes us wonder if something else is going on. Many times these things that we take lightly, it is our body that alerts us that not everything is in its place and that we have to check it.
Therefore, learn to know the alarms of your body so that no complication takes you by surprise. Here I tell you what are the most common signals that generate alarm, and what could be causing them.
natural alarm signals
Your body knows how to get your attention, and if something is not right, do not doubt that it will manifest it. But since we constantly go through changes and struggle with minor illnesses, we usually dismiss their alarm, however, the following ones you should pay more attention to.
Fever
It should never be taken simply, much less in infants. Fever is almost always associated with colds, but it is not necessarily caused by this factor.
The presence of a fever usually indicates infection, and this is the body's way of reflecting and fighting it.
If the fever is constant, this is a clear indication that there is an infection present that is disturbing the body. In addition, this alteration in body temperature is very harmful.
Keep in mind that a factor that can cause constant fever is the presence of lymphoma.
Pain
Pain in specific points is indicative of some exact pathologies, but in general terms, any type of pain is an alarm signal.
Its appearance may be associated with some recent trauma, but if the pain occurs for no reason, this is its most worrying point.
Some people mistakenly think that it would be helpful not to feel pain, but the truth is that it would be harmful. If the body has some internal or external damage and there is no pain, we would not realize it, for this reason pain is one of the most effective and necessary alarms of the organism.
fast slimming
Losing weight quickly, without dieting or exercising, could be a great reason for joy for some people who are a little overweight. But when the body loses weight in this way, it is not a reason to rejoice, since it tells us that there is no good assimilation.
When these metabolic changes occur abruptly and quickly, they may be treating a pathology such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, apathetic failure and even a depressive picture.
These cause the body to not absorb nutrients properly.
feel cold all the time
It is normal to feel cold, but it is not normal for you to be cold all day. If this feeling is constant, you may be suffering from hypothyroidism.
When there is a low rate of thyroid hormones, this causes alterations, and sensitivity to cold reflects it.
See flashes of light
If you suddenly see stars, or flashes of light in places where they shouldn't be, there is a vision problem that you should attend to in time.
This peculiar alarm is indicative of retinal detachment, or the appearance of a melanoma.
Flashes of light are a focus of attention, but in general, any alteration of vision, whether shadows, floating spots or lines, should be paid attention to, as the eyes are one of the most sensitive areas of the body.
Bowel and urinary changes
If your routine to go to the bathroom is altered, it is clear evidence that something is wrong, such as sudden constipation.
The appearance of diarrhea, it is already understood that it responds to some factor that is causing it. But if instead what happens is a sudden need to go to the bathroom outside of the usual times, this could be indicative of a larger problem.
As extreme as it may seem, these changes could be warning of pathologies such as colon cancer, irritated intestine, salmonella or the appearance of some bacteria.
In the case of urine, its variation and frequency may be caused by kidney problems, and by lack of fluid ingestion.
On the other hand, you also have to be very careful if changes in color occur, or if there is the appearance of blood or semen in the case of men.
One of the manifestations of prostate and ovarian cancer is reflected in changes in the usual behavior of urine.
Chest pain
As we mentioned before, pain is a source of alarm, but when it comes to heart conditions, it will manifest itself mainly in the following areas:
Chest.
Neck.
Arms.
Back.
Mandible.
For the most part, people who have suffered a heart attack have previously experienced constant pain in one of these areas. So a sudden pain in any of these points of the body is more than enough signal to be alert.
Bad breath
If you maintain constant oral hygiene, and still have bad breath the rest of the day, then it's time for a medical check-up.
Continuous bad breath is associated with the appearance of different diseases, some oral and others may be due to different factors.
As strange as it may seem, some pathologies such as diabetes, liver or kidney failure, and even blood problems, may be causing bad breath as an alarm symptom.
Consult your doctor
Do not panic with any alteration that you see present in your body, in most cases it is not something serious. But don't ignore those signs that something is wrong, either.
The best thing you can do is a general check-up at least every 3 months, and if the appearance of any symptom or characteristic that seems irregular occurs, do not hesitate to consult a doctor, prevention is very valuable and costs little.
